Process (Foundary) Used For Fabrication C_PROCES

Symbol :

Parameters :

FOUNDRY = Foundry identifier (=DEFAULT for DEFAULT foundry)
GW_DEF = Default ground width definition (for layout generation only)

Notes/Equations/References :

  1. COPLAN for ADS can handle any arbitrary foundry. For this propose, the foundry data have to be implemented using data items. The name of used foundry can be specified in C_PROCES. In the standard packet of COPLAN, a so called DEFAULT foundry is implemented.

  2. The name of the C_PROCES data item has to be "C_PROCES_DEFAULT". Use of another names causes the simulator to abort! A C_PROCES data item has to be always defined.

  3. Special foundries are available as a special service of IMST. If no special foundry is implemented, the only value for FOUNDRY is DEFAULT.

  4. The width of the ground planes of every coplanar element can be selected separately. therefore an overlapping of some ground sections can result during the layout generation. To avoid this problem, a global default ground width can be defined using the parameter GW-DEF. If GW>0, this value will be used as the ground width for all elements. A negative or zero value for GW_DEF activates the ground width definition of each element.

  5. The value of GW_DEF has no effect on simulation results, since for the simulation, the defined ground plane width for each element is always used.
