Source Reconstruction Techniques for
Antenna Characterization
Fernando Las-Heras, Yuri Alvarez-Lopez, Marcos Rodriguez Pino and Elena de Cos
Some antenna characterization applications of interest have been approached by using integral equation
techniques for the electromagnetic source reconstruction or inverse radiation problem. Some present work and trends will be
provided in the area of:
- Diagnostic of commercial and experimental antennas from the current reconstruction over three-dimensional complex
geometries.
- Efficient integral equation formulations, iterative algorithms, higher order models for the currents to be
reconstructed
- Near-Field to Far-Field transformation applications:
- Not restricted to canonical acquisition surfaces.
- Holographic techniques (field amplitude only)
- Probe correction techniques.
- Near Field characterization applied to human exposure to EM fields and safety volumes calculation.
