IMST: a European Independent Design House for NFC solutions from NXP

During Embedded World 2015 in Nuremberg, leading global semiconductor manufacturer NXP Semiconductors, and IMST, the experienced German development service provider for wireless solutions, announced that IMST became an NXP-authorized "Independent Design House" (IDH) for NFC solutions at the beginning of the year. The cooperation covers the integration of NFC front ends, embedded NFC controllers, connected NFC tags and LPC microcontrollers from the NXP product portfolio.

"With our key note 'NFC Everywhere', we have set ourselves the challenges of making NFC technology accessible far beyond payments, and meeting the increasing demand in new NFC markets among smart access solutions and intuitive control and configuration solutions in industrial and private spheres", explained Paul Hubmer, General Manager of Infrastructure & Consumer at NXP Semiconductors. “ IMST supports us with their excellent expertise in the design of wireless solutions to implement these individual NFC solutions quickly and therefore cost-efficient and to comply with the complex European and current international guidelines for certification". Customers will benefit from the comprehensive design service.

As a certified IDH, IMST not only knows the NXP portfolio in great detail; it has the know-how to integrate these products into complex NFC solutions. "This partnership allows us to consistently offer our customers the most innovative NFC solutions, based on the latest NXP products", said Dirk Sollbach, Sales Manager Wireless Solutions, person responsible for the NXP cooperation at IMST.

Matthias Schneider, Sales and Marketing ICS at IMST, noted, " a official collaboration with a well-known global semiconductor vendor is always an honour for IMST and a confirmation of the quality of our design and integration services".
